What to expect during installation

A professional installation can take four-to-eight hours, depending on the size of your home, the type of system (wireless, hardwire or hybrid) and the number of sensors.

A small business installation can be similar to a home. Larger businesses take longer, and the time will vary according to the size and complexity of the installation.

The installation will be fairly straightforward because the planning of system components is worked out in advance. The installer follows this plan, usually carrying out the following steps:

Mounting the system controller
Connecting the phone to the controller

Installing touchpads
Programming and mounting sensors and automation components
Testing the system
Phone system backup
